A lot of the couple's friends and family will be arriving in Phuket on the 13th of March and extending their stay until the 21st. If you wish to only attend the wedding, it is recommended to book your stay from the 16th to the 20th of March to ensure you are able to enjoy and attend all the wedding activities.

About: Haldi and Pithi directly translate to turmeric and paste. This ceremony is a traditional South Asian pre-wedding purification ritual that symbolises a radiant, blessed start to marriage. Culturally, it is done to ward off negative energy (the evil eye) and bless the couple with good luck and prosperity.
How it Works: Family and friends apply the golden paste to the bride and groom's hands and feet.
The Gujarati Pithi Ceremony turns messy when friends and family members turn the gentle blessing ritual into a playful, messy, and chaotic celebration for the groom and his best man.
About: Recognised by UNESCO as a vital piece of shared cultural heritage, the Mehendi or Henna ceremony is a beautiful pre-wedding ritual, uniting Arab, African, and South Asian cultures. The Mehendi night is a lively party, filled with music and dance, and an unforgettable kickoff to the wedding festivities.
How it Works: Henna artists create intricate designs that symbolize joy, beauty, spiritual awakening, and good luck. It is believed that the darker the final stain of the henna, the deeper the love between a couple and the stronger the bond between a woman and her family. All guests are welcome to partake in this activity at the Mehendi Night.
About: Anand Karaj (literally translates to “Blissful Union”) is the sacred & spiritual Sikh wedding ceremony. It centres around four rounds (Lavan) around the holy Guru Granth Sahib. Each round represents a vow in marriage:
1. Duty: Committing to spiritual discipline, family life, & purity.
2. Love & Respect: Moving past fears & recognising God’s presence within each other.
3. Detachment: Letting go of material attachments & ego, while filling the heart with joy and love.
4. Union: Achieving union & harmony, blending the two souls into one spiritual light.
Sikhism teaches that physical bodies are temporary but the soul is immortal. Souls who form a deeply pure, selfless, and spiritual bond in this life are destined to find and support each other across multiple lifetimes.
Guests will be required to remove their shoes and cover their heads during the 30-minute ceremony.
About: The evening kicks off with a sunset cocktail hour, and is followed by dinner, drinks, and a night of partying!
The wedding reception is a night to celebrate the newly married couple. Expect toasts, cake, and lots of dancing as the bride and groom host for the first time as husband and wife.

Yes! Kids are very welcome. SAii Laguna has a kids centre, pool, and lots of other activities. You can also find excursions to enjoy as a family on Nish's list of recommendations.

Thailand is hot and humid all year round. We recommend lightweight fabrics for every event. All events will be indoors and outdoors.
Not at all. We'd love for everyone to wear Indian or at least a fusion outfit at our Mehendi and Welcome Dinner, but there's never any restrictions from our end. All we want is for everyone to be comfortable and celebrate this special day with us.
